Evacuation orders lifted for La Conchita
Authorities lifted the evacuation order for residents in La Conchita following a historic amount of rainfall.
"The decision to lift the evacuation order for the Community of La Conchita should not be construed that the area has been deemed safe and/or free of geological hazards," Ventura County officials said in a statement.
According to Emergency Manager Kim Dellacort, the recent storm recorded 8 inches of rain in 14 days.
County officials said that the area could still be hit with a landslide, debris flow or mudflow, as a large landslide mass located above teh community could fail without warning.
Dellacort advised residents to remain vigilant by monitoring weather forecasts, rainfall rates and present conditions. She also told residents to not wait for authorities to issue evacuation warnings or orders before leaving the area.

Chatsworth sinkhole swallows 2 vehicles
Two people were rescued by firefighters and two others got themselves out after driving their vehicles into a sinkhole in Chatsworth Monday night.
The sinkhole opened up on Iverson Road at Zaltana Street at about 7:20 p.m. Monday.
First a car drove into the opening, then a pickup truck. Two people in the truck got themselves out before firefighters arrived. They were not injured.
Two people in the car were reportedly trapped when the truck landed on top. Los Angeles Fire Dept. crews used a ladder over the hole and dropped a firefighter down as they stabilized the vehicles as much as possible, then extricated the two people. Those two people sustained minor injuries.
Authorities estimated the sinkhole to be around 15 feet deep Monday night, but the sinkhole appeared to grow in size overnight. The vehicles were visibly sticking out of the sinkhole when the KCAL News crew arrived. As of Tuesday morning, the vehicles were buried feet deeper into the mud.
"More water has been flowing down from the street and was filling the hole, and as you can see, there's a part of the street itself that's a large chunk of debris that's already separated and cracked, and the way this has gone is this car is continuing to sink and roll," said LAFD Battalion Chief Andrew Wordin.
"The road is completely compromised and un-passable to traffic nor is it able to support emergency vehicles," firefighters said. "The large sinkhole is fully cutting across the southbound lane of Iverson Road. The entire road is compromised."
Mudslide buries Audi on Beverly Glen near Mulholland
A car was stuck early Tuesday morning in a debris flow in Beverly Glen. Crews were working to clear the area.
Beverly Glen Blvd. was closed at Mulholland Drive Tuesday morning after a black Audi was buried by a mudslide in the roadway.
As KCAL Anchor Chris Holmstrom was on the scene, a driver tried to plow his truck through a mudslide on Beverly Glen near Mulholland Drive Tuesday morning, unsuccessfully.
KCAL Anchor Rudabeh Shahbazi first encountered the black Audi on Beverly Glen early Tuesday morning and called 911.
Chris found the driver later Tuesday morning, who was safe and uninjured. He was trying to figure out how to dislodge his car.
The driver, Ryan, said he got stuck on the way home at about 2 a.m. Tuesday. He said the hill collapsed and the mud surrounded his car. He said firefighters arrived and assisted himself and his friends out of the vehicle.
The driver of the truck stopped to talk to Chris.
"Mulholland is prone to some of these mudslides and stuff, it's never been this bad, to be honest. I've been living just over the ridge here just over five, six years now, it's never been this bad," said the truck driver.
Some Studio City residents advised to shelter in place
Los Angeles Fire Dept. crews were on scene assessing damage in the neighborhood of Fredonia Drive and Lankershim Blvd. Tuesday morning.
Around midnight part of the hillside gave way, bringing substantial mud and debris flows. Crews were clearing roadways of trees and other debris Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were going door to door to talk to residents. Residents of about 12 homes in the area of Fredonia and Lankershim were advised to shelter in place Tuesday morning during the worst of the storm.
LAFD said there was no structural damage to any homes.
Streets were not completely passable because of standing water and debris, and at least one vehicle was stuck in 2 to 4 feet of water.
