Man With Gun Robs Hoffman Estates Bank
(CBS) -- A man robbed a bank at gunpoint Saturday afternoon in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates.
The robber, thought to be in his late 30s or 40s, walked into the Chase Bank branch at 2555 W. Gold Road about 1:15 p.m. and made off with an unspecified amount of cash, according to the FBI. He showed a gun, but no one was hurt
Authorities said he was a black man, about 5-foot-7 with a goatee. He was wearing dark jeans, a gray shirt and a black flat-bill cap with a white logo.
