Chase Bank Robbed In Portage, Indiana

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man displaying a handgun robbed a Chase bank branch in Northwest Indiana on Thursday, before fleeing in a car with two accomplices, another man and a black Labrador retriever.

The robbery at the bank, located at 6200 Central Ave. in Portage. happened around 9:20 a.m. when a man handed a female teller a note and opened up his jacked to reveal a handgun tucked in his pants, police said.

After he was handed an undetermined amount of cash, the man ran out the front door and into a gray or silver car, possibly a Chrysler 300, police said.

The suspect's car was occupied by another white male with dark hair and dirty white t-shirt. Additionally, there was a black Labrador Retriever inside.

No one was injured during the robbery.
