U.S. wages rising at higher rate than inflation, Labor Department says
For the first time since early 2021, the U.S. Labor Department says wages are rising at a faster rate than inflation. Compared with early 2021, wages are up about 4% while the Consumer Price Index has increased by about 3%. Amara Omeokwe, economics reporter at The Wall Street Journal, has more.
