Trayvon Martin's mother addresses "stand your ground" laws at hearing
Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old who was shot and killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, opened the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing by saying the "stand your ground" self-defense laws are confusing and applied unevenly. Fulton asked Congress to consider how the policy would affect other gun legislation.
