Powerful earthquake strikes Taiwan

At least two people were killed and 144 others injured when a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck late Tuesday near the coast of Taiwan, authorities said. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was centered about 13 miles northeast of Hualien, on the island's east coast.
