In slip of tongue, Manafort says he'll support Ryan "as candidate for president"
On Tuesday Donald Trump said he was not ready to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan in his upcoming primary race. In answering a question about whether Trump's campaign chairman, a longtime Republican, supports Ryan himself, Paul Manafort said, "I support him as a Speaker, and I know after next week, I'm going to be supporting him as a candidate for president." He brushed off the slip of the tongue with a chuckle.
