Sheila Jackson Lee, longtime Texas congresswoman, dies at 74
Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, who served in Congress for nearly three decades, has died at the age of 74. A champion for progressive causes, Jackson Lee led efforts to make Juneteenth a national holiday.
