Oprah visits Alabama memorial for lynching with "60 Minutes"
A new memorial in Montgomery, Alabama, reflects on one of the most difficult periods in American history: when thousands of African-American men, women and children were killed by lynching in the decades after the Civil War. "60 Minutes" special contributor Oprah Winfrey visited the memorial with Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of Equal Justice Initiative who spearheaded the project.
