Online petition to move Halloween gains momentum
An online petition to make Halloween the last Saturday in October has gathered more than 63,000 signatures. It’s sponsored by the Halloween and Costume Association, which says it’s safer for kids to trick-or-treat on the weekend. To honor the petition, Congress would have to make Halloween an official holiday — and that doesn’t appear to have a ghost of a chance.
