New research could aid fight against pancreatic cancer
Two new scientific papers published in the journal Nature Medicine outline a promising new approach to fighting pancreatic cancer. The disease is notoriously difficult to treat and is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. Kirsten Bryant, the lead scientist on one of the studies, and Julie Fleshman, president and CEO of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the organization that funded the research, joined CBSN to discuss the findings.
