New DNA technique leads to arrest in 1993 Alaska murder
Officials in Alaska have arrested a 44-year-old man in Maine, Steven Downs, in the 1993 murder of Sophie Sergie, a 20-year-old woman found slain at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1993. They used genetic genealogy, the same technique used to identify the "Golden State Killer" suspect. WGME's Taylor Gleason reports.
