Mexico to deploy up to 6,000 National Guard members to Guatemalan border
After reaching a tariff deal with the United States, Mexico is expected to send up to 6,000 National Guard members to tighten its Guatemalan border soon. The Trump administration is hoping that if Mexico can stop the flow of Central American migrants at the border with Guatemala, there will be fewer apprehensions along the U.S. border where numbers are surging.
