After voting to acquit former President Trump in his second impeachment trial, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell gave a scathing address denouncing Mr. Trump's conduct, saying the January 6th Capitol assault "was a foreseeable consequence of the growing crescendo of false statements, conspiracy theories and reckless hyperbole which the defeated president kept shouting into the largest megaphone on planet earth."
