Albany, N.Y. mayor cuts salary to zero to help offset major budget gap
Local leaders across the U.S. are calling on the federal government to provide direct emergency aid to help cities facing major revenue shortfalls due to the pandemic. New York's capital city is projected to face a budget gap of at least $17 million. To help offset the loss, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced she will reduce her salary to $0 for the rest of the year. Sheehan joins CBSN to discuss the cuts her city could see if federal aid isn't secured.
