Listen: Prisoner calls 911 to alert Okla. police of escape
Joshua Silverman was one of eight prisoners in a van that was taken over by other inmates. Two of the inmates fled the van, but Silverman called 911 to alert Okla. authorities to the escape. Unable to determine his whereabouts on the phone, Silverman managed to flag down a police officer on the street, which ended the call.
