Linda Brown of Brown v. Board of Education dead at 76
Linda Brown, who as a girl was at the center of the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court case, died at age 76. Brown's death comes at a time when school segregation is on the rise in the United States. A 2016 Government Accountability Office report found a 7 percent increase in the number of racially isolated schools across the country.
