Keechant Sewell to become first woman to lead NYPD in 176-year history

New York City Mayor-Elect Eric Adams selected Keechant Sewell to become the New York Police Department's next police commissioner. Sewell, who serves as Nassau County chief of detectives, will become the first woman to lead the NYPD in its 176-year history.
