Journalists fly cross-country to take the pulse of America on local level
For more than four years, journalists James and Deborah Fallows traveled the country in a single-engine prop plane to learn from Americans in smaller communities. The married duo visited places like Allentown, Pennsylvania; Columbus, Mississippi; and Dodge City, Kansas. In each place they met people coming together to create jobs and solve problems. James and Deborah Fallows, who chronicled their experience in a new book called "Our Towns: A 100,000-Mile Journey into the Heart of America," join “CBS This Morning” to talk about what they learned.
