Italian Coast Guard swoops in to take control of abandoned ship
Authorities took control of a cargo ship carrying hundreds of migrants after the crew disappeared and set it on an automated route to crash into the coast, officials said. The ship arrived in the southern Italian port town of Gallipoli early Wednesday.
