House passes rail deal to try to avoid strike

The House has approved legislation to avert a potential nationwide rail strike, forcing rail workers to accept the labor agreement brokered by the Biden administration in September. The House also voted on a separate measure that provides seven days of paid sick leave, which also now heads to the Senate.
