#GirlsToo builds off #MeToo movement to combat sexual trauma among youth
The #MeToo movement put a spotlight on workplace harassment and sexual assault, and now the #GirlsToo movement has emerged to help minors enter the conversation. One in 4 girls experience sexual violence before they reach age 18. Christia Spears Brown, a professor of developmental psychology, joins CBSN along with Lara Kaufmann, the public policy director at Girls Inc., the organization that is helping steward the #GirlsToo movement.
