China-U.S. relations reaches lowest point in decades amid consulate closures and arrests
Diplomatic relations between the United States and China are the frostiest they've been in decades. Beijing is retaliating against the U.S. closure of the Chinese consulate in Houston by shuttering the equivalent American mission in Chengdu. Recently, the U.S. also arrested fours Chinese scientists for hiding their army ties on visa applications.
