All the artificial light of modern life may have a dark side: It’s been implicated in America’s epidemic of sleep deprivation. Yet lack of sleep is being tied to more and more serious health problems and the CDC has found that 35 percent of American adults aren't getting the recommended minimum of seven hours of sleep each night.
