What's in store for the first presidential debate
This debate stands apart from past ones because it's the earliest yet. It comes before the parties' nominating conventions: Republicans next month in Milwaukee and Democrats in August in Chicago.
There will also be no studio audience. And microphones will be muted for the candidate who is not asked the question to prevent interruptions.
