SMU celebrates its first day as an official member of the Atlantic Coast Conference
Southern Methodist University celebrates its new ACC membership with a party in Dallas. Costumed mascots from all 18 ACC member teams were in attendance along with SMU President R. Gerald Turner. Their inaugural ACC football game is scheduled for Sept. 28.
