Opal Lee, known as the grandmother of Juneteenth, celebrated her 98th birthday early. The National Juneteenth Museum hosted the celebration Thursday, highlighting her significant contributions to the community. The museum, currently under construction, aims to open by her 100th birthday in 2026.
