On day 6 of Attorney General Ken Paxton's impeachment trial, state senators heard from a former special prosecutor. On the stand, Brandon Cammack said Paxton hired him and asked him to look into claims made by Paxton campaign donor Nate Paul while Paul was under federal investigation. He said they communicated through encrypted messages and encrypted emails.
