Heatwave bakes North Texas, slight rain chances early next week

Heat advisories and excessive heat warnings are in effect for Dallas-Fort Worth and much of Texas, covering about 80% of the state. There is a slight chance of rain early next week, with temperatures remaining near 100 degrees.
