Dallas Police said at about 4:40 a.m., officers responded to a call about an emergency in the 1500 block of Elm Street.
DFR pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police said a driver was backing a vehicle out of a garage when a pedestrian, identified as Mattie Wickham, was walking behind it.
According to investigators, it's believed that the victim entered the road near the overpass and was struck by a vehicle.
Fort Worth PD said the suspect vehicle fled before officers arrived at the scene.
Just before 6:30 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Kelton Street and Avington Way.
It happened around 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of Plano Parkway and Accent Drive, Plano police said.
