Police said a driver was backing a vehicle out of a garage when a pedestrian, identified as Mattie Wickham, was walking behind it.
According to investigators, it's believed that the victim entered the road near the overpass and was struck by a vehicle.
Fort Worth PD said the suspect vehicle fled before officers arrived at the scene.
