As the season of giving is underway, CBS News Texas has teamed up with Tom Thumb, Albertsons to highlight nonprofits making a difference in their communities year-round, while offering a $1,000 donation.
Every animal at Saving Hope has a story.

The concept is simple: a menu with no prices. Guests pay what they can afford.

CBS News Texas is recognizing Nexus Recovery Center for the 11 Days of Giving. Nexus Recovery Center is a nonprofit that helps women who are facing addiction and substance abuse.
The nonprofit has distributed 27,000 meals in just one year, an achievement that speaks to the immense need.
