WTC Site Becomes Tourist Hub
NEW YORK (1080 KRLD) - Since September 11, 2001, the neighborhood around the World Trade Center has undergone a major transformation. KRLD's Emily Trube recently went to New York to look at how Lower Manhattan has changed over the past ten years – for the better.

On September 10, 2001, people only went to the World Trade Center if they worked there. Tourists would stop by for a minute or two while they were on their way to see the Statue of Liberty. That's not the case now.
The site itself has become a tourist destination. According to the city's tourism department, about 9 million people come to see it every year.
