Wrong Way Signs To Be Lowered On Dallas North Tollway
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two years after the start of a string of wrong-way crashes on the Dallas North Tollway, more changes are coming to one of North Texas' busiest toll roads.
The North Texas Tollway authority is announcing they have been given the green light from the Federal Highway Administration to lower, "Wrong Way" and "Do Not Enter" signs along the road.

The idea was just one of many proposed after several people were killed in wrong-way wrecks, many of which involved alcohol.
Similar lower to the ground signs can be found in states like California, because studies show impaired drivers look down as they try and navigate the road.
Flashing LED signs are also being used to combat wrong-way drivers.
