Worst Drivers in America
Could your political affiliation determine what kind of driver your are? The Daily Beast has released new crash data ranking the 50 states based on crash data and found that the breakdown between safe or dangerous drivers fell almost completely in line with the 2008 presidential election. 9 out of 10 of the worst drivers-by-state voted for McCain, while 9 out of 10 of the best drivers-by-state voted for Obama.
To determine the rankings, the Daily Beast looked at crash data by state, accident information where driver mistakes were a key factor, as well as the number of total drivers per state, miles logged, and time spent driving. So where did Texas fall on this list? Their drivers were ranked 10th in the country with 2,776 fatal crashes last year to their nearly 15.5 million drivers. The worst drivers in America... live in North Dakota.
