Woods Hopes He Is Fully Healthy For British Open
BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Tiger Woods says he hopes his left elbow will be fully healed when he gets to the British Open. But he says it will be "good enough."
Woods spoke Wednesday at the AT&T National, where he had to withdraw as the defending champion because of a left elbow strain. Doctors have recommended that he not play at Congressional or next week at The Greenbrier Classic.
The British Open is July 18-21 at Muirfield.
Woods says he is treating the elbow with ice, ultrasound and anti-inflammatory medicine. He first felt soreness at The Players Championship, which he won in May. It flared up hitting the ball out of deep rough in the U.S. Open at Merion.
