Woman Killed In Head-On Crash Near Flower Mound
FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) -A woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a shattering head-on collision on a rural portion of a highway in Denton County.
Flower Mound Police say a 2003 Chevy Suburban carrying six people crossed over the center line of Highway 377 near its intersection with Cross Timbers Road, and slammed head on into a 2007 Chevy Tahoe carrying five people.
A passenger in the Tahoe was killed. Her name has not been released, but she has been identified as being from Springtown.
Seven others were hospitalized, but all are expected to survive.
Investigators say there is no evidence that alcohol or speed was a factor, but it was raining at the time and the highway was slick.
