Woman Dead After Jumping From Overpass In Allen
ALLEN (CBSDFW.COM) -- A 36-year-old woman is dead after jumping from an overpass onto US Highway 75 in Allen early Wednesday morning.
Police say Katherine Kinkel of Anna, Texas parked her truck on the bridge of Sam Rayburn tollway just after 2:30 a.m. Shortly after, she jumped from the highest point of the bridge, landing in the southbound lanes of 75.
Emergency crews responded after receiving multiple calls from motorists. Kinkel was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was closed until just before 8 a.m. as Allen Police conducted its investigation.
