Will Mavs Avoid Trade-Deadline Deals?
DALLAS (BLEACHER REPORT) - With the NBA trade deadline looming, the Dallas Mavericks would be wise to hold tight with the talent they have now and wait for free agency to make a big splash.
According to Eddie Sefko, the Mavericks beat writer for The Dallas Morning News, Dallas isn't likely to make any trades before the deadline.
Like most teams, Dallas was forced this offseason to quickly adjust its roster, and while the Mavericks have a good group, trying to put together a blockbuster trade isn't very feasible right now, nor is it very bright.
Cuban's best bet is to stay put and wait for free agency this summer, when he has the potential to land Dwight Howard and Deron Williams.
Howard and Williams both have a list of preferred teams they'd like to play for next year, and the Mavericks are in the top three for each.
