New Report Says There's No Proof Microplastics In Drinking Water Are Harmful
NEW YORK (CBSNEWS.COM) - While they may be polluting our oceans, rivers and ice, one group says there's little evidence that microplastics in drinking water pose a health risk to humans.
The just-published 124-page report from the World Health Organization (WHO) is the first major international study to examine the potential human health risks caused by exposure to microplastics in drinking water — and it found there are more microplastics in bottled water than in tap water.
