When Asked About Border Security, Gov. Perry Pushes Voter ID Law (Audio)

In Fort Worth today, Governor Perry was asked by WFAA's Brad Watson about what Texas can do to step up the plate on border security.  Perry said identification is key and most Texans want to see a requirement that people show photo ID when they vote.  Perhaps perry sidestepped the question about Arizona's immigration law because he and his Democratic challenger Bill White agree that state and local police shouldn't be turned into immigration officers.

He also talked about the troops being sent to the border.
