Weekend Highway Closures In North Dallas
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Anybody planning to drive near the LBJ Freeway and Dallas North Tollway this weekend needs to be aware that it will probably be a traffic nightmare. Weekend construction is going to result in a long list of closures. The work is being done over a weekend in order to avoid rush hour delays during the weekdays.
Friday @ 9:00 PM - Saturday @ Noon
-- The southbound exit to westbound LBJ Freeway will be closed.
-- The southbound exit to eastbound LBJ Freeway will be closed.
-- The southbound entrance ramp from Spring Valley Road will be closed.
-- All southbound lanes between Spring Valley Road and Harvest Hill Road will be closed.
-- The ramp from westbound LBJ Freeway to southbound Dallas North Tollway will be closed.
-- Northbound on the Dallas North Tollway will be reduced to one lane between Harvest Hill Road and Spring Valley Road.
-- The ramp from eastbound LBJ Freeway to northbound Dallas North Tollway will be closed.
Saturday @ Noon - Saturday @ 9:00 PM
-- The southbound exit to eastbound LBJ Freeway will be closed.
-- Southbound traffic on the Dallas North Tollway will be reduced to one lane between Spring Valley Road and Harvest Hill Road.
-- The southbound entrance from Spring Valley Road will be closed.
-- The ramp from westbound LBJ Freeway to southbound Dallas North Tollway will be closed.
Saturday @ 9:00 PM - Sunday @ Noon
-- Traffic along southbound Dallas North Tollway, between Spring Valley Road and Harvest Hill Road, will be reduced to one lane.
-- The southbound entrance ramp from Spring Valley Road will be closed.
-- The northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway will be closed between Harvest Hill Road and Spring Valley Road.
-- The northbound exit to westbound LBJ Freeway will be closed.
-- The northbound exit to eastbound LBJ Freeway will be closed.
-- The ramp from westbound LBJ Freeway to southbound Dallas North Tollway will be closed.
-- The ramp from eastbound LBJ Freeway to northbound Dallas North Tollway will be closed.

Sunday @ 9:00 PM - Monday @ 6:00 AM
-- Dallas North Tollway reduced to one lane in each direction between Harvest Hill Road and Spring Valley Road.
-- The southbound entrance ramp from Spring Valley Road will be closed.
-- The ramp from eastbound LBJ Freeway to northbound Dallas North Tollway will be cloesd.
-- The ramp from westbound LBJ Freeway to southbound Dallas North Tollway will be closed.
Needless to say, drivers in north Dallas can expect huge delays this weekend. The LBJ Express Project is scheduled to be completed in December 2015. In order to get there, construction crews will be working around the clock for the next two years.
