Threats, Evacuations Make For Stressful Day At Three Waxahachie Schools
WAXAHACHIE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Waxahachie High School and the Ninth Grade Academy were placed under a 'shelter in place' mode Wednesday morning after a report that an anonymous threat was received.
Lt. Todd Woodruff of the Waxahachie Police Department says two students received threatening text messages from an unknown person.
SWAT teams were on-site and searched the school, but nothing was found. Woodruff says police detained a student at Red Oak High School as a potential suspect.
Authorities said that all of the students were safe as Waxahachie Police worked quickly to resolve the situation.

A few hours later, a bomb threat at Finley Jr High caused an evacuation.
According to the Waxahachie ISD, students were evacuated to College Church of Christ. Parents are able pick up their kids at the church if they like...but have to follow proper check-out procedures and show ID.
Bomb sniffing dogs were brought in to search the school.
