FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - There's now a warrant for the arrest of Ethan Couch.
Couch is the teen who got probation after killing four people in a drunk driving crash two years ago.
CBS11 has confirmed his probation officer went to check on Couch and could not find him.
Couch had missed an appointment with Tarrant County Juvenile Probation officers.
Sources say neither he, nor his mother were there when they went to their home.
At that point, the warrant for his arrest was issued.
Attorneys for Ethan Couch, Scott Brown and Wm. Reagan Wynn gave CBS11 this statement Tuesday night:
We have recently learned that, for the last several days, the juvenile probation officer has been unable to make contact with Ethan or his mother with whom he has been residing. It is our understanding that the Court has issued a directive to apprehend to have Ethan detained because he is out of contact with his probation officer. We do not have any further information concerning this situation. Accordingly, it would not be appropriate for us to publicly discuss this matter further at this time.
Couch got probation for the deadly crash after his lawyer argued he didn't understand consequences because of his life as a rich kid.
Earlier in December, video surfaced that appeared to show Couch at a party where there was alcohol.
