Waco TV Meteorologist Released From Hospital After Shooting

A Central Texas meteorologist who was shot earlier this month outside his TV station has been released from a hospital.

Patrick Crawford was treated for three gunshot wounds, one to his abdomen and two others from shots that grazed him, including one to the head. He was treated at a Temple hospital.

Crawford, the morning weathercaster at KCEN-TV near Waco, was shot Dec. 17 in the station parking lot. The unknown suspect fled on foot.

Crawford has previously said that he didn't know his attacker and that there was no interaction between the two before the suspect shot him.

No arrest has been made in the case and a motive has not been identified.  Authorities say they have no credible leads on who attacked Crawford. Investigators are seeking a motive for the gunfire.

DPS investigators have released a sketch of the suspected gunman who shot Crawford.

It was not clear which day Crawford was released from the hospital.
