Volkswagen Told To Recall Nearly 500,000 Vehicles Over Emissions Software

UNITED STATES (CBSDFW.COM) - Serious accusations of deception after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency orders Volkswagon to recall 482,000 diesel passenger cars sold in the United States since 2009.
The EPA has accused
the German automaker of trying to dodge environmental rules.
Affected diesel models include the 2009-15 Volkswagen Jetta, 2009–15 Beetle, 2009–15 Golf, 2014-15 Passat and 2009-15 Audi A3.
According to the agency, Volkswagen put a device in those vehicles so that they would pass an emissions test but that doesn't work the rest of the time.
If true, that means the cars are spewing out far more pollution than they should; impacting their owners.
It's also possible that Volkswagon won't be able to come up with a repair, forcing it to buy the cars back.
The automaker also faces up to $18 billion in penalties.
