Deadly Road Rage Incident Ends In Front Of Police Department

BURLESON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Burleson Police said a road rage incident that started near Alta Mesa in Southwest Fort Worth eventually ended in front of the Burleson Police Department around 2:00 p.m. Monday.

Family members identified the vicim as Todd Neal, Jr. They said he died after being shot.

Neal's cousin told CBS11 Neal was on his way to see the birth of his child when he was shot by a stranger.

Police said they first got a 911 call from someone who said they were in a vehicle being chased by another vehicle while being shot at.

The caller said they were on their way to the Burleson Police Department and when they got there, police said the passenger had been shot.

Burleson police say they have charged a suspect with murder.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Department identified that suspect as Keilon Warren, 28, whose previous criminal history includes charges of marijuana possession and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Burleson Police Chief Billy Cordell says he was among several officers who were standing in the parking lot.

"All of a sudden the car pulls up front, flags us down, and tells us his passenger has been shot," said Chief Cordell.

Neal's family says they're not sure what caused the other driver to become so angry.

Neal's family members tells CBS11, as of 10:20 p.m. Monday, the baby had not yet been born but the mother, Neal's girlfriend, was in labor.
