Vehicle Crashes Over Fire Hydrant & Flips Into House
UPDATED 8:15 P.M. The driver of a Dodge truck that slammed into a house in Fort Worth Friday afternoon has died. A 6-year-old passenger in the truck wasn't injured in the crash.
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - At least one person was critically injured after a crash sent a vehicle airborne, then crashing into a house.
The driver is believed to have been traveling on Southwest Boulevard in Fort Worth when the car veered from the roadway, hit a fire hydrant and then flipped. The car came to rest inside part of a home and on top of a pickup.
An adult male was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital with life threatening injuries. As of 4:10 p.m. rescue crews were still working to try and get another person out of the upside down car. That person's condition isn't known.
The busted fire hydrant sent water all over the roadway. Workers are on the scene trying to repair that damage.
Traffic near Culver and Southwest Blvd. is backed up as a result.
