Vegan Brisket? It's A Thing!

DALLAS (CBS11) - Brisket that isn't made of meat.
The dish is one of the most popular items on the menu at a new vegan restaurant that just opened in Trinity Grove.
The owner and executive chef at V-Eats Modern Vegan, Troy Gardner, said the menu is vegan but, don't expect the food to taste like it.
"We are looking to reel some folks in and show them that plant based diets aren't necessarily just tofu," said Gardner.
The plant-based menu offers pizza, pasta and brisket.
The brisket is served in several dishes including tacos.
Customer Kellie Bishop said after trying the food, "I would come back."
Bishop said being a vegan isn't always easy when it comes to eating out.
"Having an actual restaurant that caters to that is really nice," she said.
