FRISCO (CSBDFW.COM) -- The U.S. Men's National Team will visit Toyota Stadium in Frisco next summer as part of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The venue -- which serves as the home pitch for FC Dallas -- was chosen as one of 13 host sites for the tournament, which will be played throughout the U.S. from July 7-26.
The tournament takes place every two years and determines the regional champion of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Toyota Stadium will host the national team on July 7, 2015, as part of a Group A doubleheader.
"We are thrilled to play our opening game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Frisco," said U.S. Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. "Winning the tournament is the number one priority for the senior National Team in 2015, so it's important that we get started on the right foot. It's a great stadium and there's a tremendous tradition for soccer in the area, so we're hoping to get huge support from all our fans."
The complete schedule and matchups will be announced in 2015.
Tickets will go on sale in the spring. Fans interested in being part of an exclusive presale can contact FC Dallas at 888-FCD-GOAL (323.4625) or visit www.GoldCup.org.
The U.S. won the Gold Cup in 2013 and has won four of the last seven tournaments. Mexico has claimed the other three.
